1 day before the end of J2 common test 1, working and studying etc

Ah diaryland is back up. And yes, I've added one more person to the list of people who know about this site! So that brings it to 3. Haha. Ok so it's Tuesday and 2 more subjects to go. It's crazy lah... cram 5 subjects and 3 SPAs in 3 days. Nevermind, it's going to be over soon. At least for now. 3 more "major" exams this year. Lalala so fun.

Why do adults always say that it was easier being a student? Is the working world really that terrible? I discussed it with a friend (can't remember who) and I think we came to a conclusion that adults in the past had it easier on them. Maybe not all of them ran around catching spiders all day, but maybe the education climate wasn't as competitive as it is today. 10 years ago, the only way you couldn't get into NUS was if you had like...all Ds or something. Now, I heard from my sister that her friend's brother who got ABCD or something can't get into any course. Hmm. So they don't know what students nowadays are going through. Anyway, the grass is always greener on the other side. When we're students, we don't want to study. When we're working adults, we want to go back to school. And anyway, Ecclesiastes 7:10 "Do not say, 'Why were the old days better than these?' For it is not wise to ask such questions." Haha. Chanced upon this a few days/weeks ago.

Maybe it's better to take a subject which is useful but something which you don't like to do. Cos if you like the subject, for example history, you would be more motivated to learn it in your free time. Like read for leisure that sort of thing. You still gain the same knowledge. That's only if the subject can be understood without being taught.

Ah one more day. I keep saying one day more. All Les Miserables fault.

Always looking forward to the time after the exams. Keep thinking of what I'm planning to do. Maybe on sat or monday, might go borders to read or something. Haven't done that since...the last book of the Left behind series came out. Read almost half of the series in borders. Bought the first half before it occurred to me that it might be cheaper just reading at borders. Borders is a nice place. Just that after about 2 hours of reading, I get a neck ache. And there're not always enough chairs. Haha.
