Went to east coast this morning. Yep another outing with the reap people. The 5 of us went blading and cycling. I didn't know how to blade, so I...bladed. Out of the 5 of us, 3 bladed, 2 cycled. We had knee and wrist guards. I asked for elbow guards as well. Haha. That way, I'd be less scared of falling. Was quite fun to blade. Fell down about 3-5 times. Once, I was going down this slope. Accelerated, whooooooosh..... Then lost control and fell backwards. Ow. Falls at high velocity are never fun. Hahaha. Hey I'm thankful that I didn't fall and twist my arm or something. Good thing I hadn't started losing weight yet. Hahaha. :P Ah it was quite fun. Got sunburnt though...on my shoulders.
Today's Good Friday. It's not good actually. Jesus was crucified. It's good for us. Cos if Jesus hadn't been crucified, there would have been no hope for us.
Alas! and Did My Savior Bleed
Text: Isaac Watts, 1674-1748
Music: Attr. to Hugh Wilson, 1766-1824
Alas! and did my Savior bleed,
and did my Sovereign die!
Would He devote that sacred head
for sinners such as I?
Was it for crimes that I have done,
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! Grace unknown!
And love beyond degree!
Well might the sun in darkness hide,
and shut its glories in,
when God, the Mighty Maker, died
for His own creature's sin.
Thus might I hide my blushing face
while His dear cross appears;
dissolve my heart in thankfulness,
and melt my eyes to tears.
But drops of tears can ne'er repay
the debt of love I owe.
Here, Lord, I give myself away;
'tis all that I can do.
