Yay went for FOP today at the indoor stadium. Only found out about it last week from a classmate. Yar and I think I felt like going, but didn't know who to go with. So I smsed a couple of people...all said they didn't want to go. Then I asked jo online. Yay. She wanted to go too. Ah...
Met her at 5.45pm at kallang mrt. She had violin lessons before that so couldn't go earlier. Took a chartered bus there. Ah. Then when we alighted, we walked to the stadium and tried to find an entrance. Then we walked to the back of the building...and saw.... an enormous mass of people. They weren't in a line...you know...the two-by-two lines. Think if they were made to queue that way, the line would have gone around the building several times. So yar. The "line" was really wide. Joined at the back. Was pretty hot and stuffy, but good thing there was a little wind. Then the "queue" started moving a little at a time. Little by little. Was pressed on all sides by people who were eager to get in. Some even went through the bushes which obstructed the way. Hmmm... Yar. Ok. Blah blah blah. Then we had to climb a flight of stairs and we got in! Ah...jo had a friend who reserved seats for the two of us, so we tried to find him for a long time. Yep. Got to the seats. About 7.10pm. The thing started at 7.30.
Hillsongs and Delirious! Hillsongs is from Australia and Delirious is from the UK. Ah. I like Hillsongs better haha. The scene was awesome. Had a great time praising the Lord with 11,000 other people. The two bands took turns to lead worship. Hillsongs went first, then Delirious. I think the worship was a best part of FOP. And we had more at the end! It's a great thing to praise the Lord...
The message was given by Rev. Collin Raye. It was quite good. About how to be spiritually victorious or something like that. Yar. But it wasn't very long. Ah well...
Think by the end of it, I couldn't talk anymore. Had no more voice haha. And couldn't hear very well either when I came out. Music was really loud inside haha. It ended at about 11pm.
Looked for a bus stop after that. Couldn't see one so just followed some people without knowing where they were going. Asked around. Then followed a larger crowd to a bus stop. Took a bus to orchard and changed to 174. Got home at about 12. Haha.
I don't seem to be able to describe much. But I don't regret going, even though I didn't get any work done today. I need to be more courageous. Be bolder. And have more faith. Be willing to step out of my comfort zone. I value comfort too much. I want to throw away my doubts...and be a light.
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
