My sis got tickets for the project superstar finals! It's good to have a sis who works in the infocom area. Well, even though I stopped watching the show quite some time ago, I still went for it. Hahaha... It was quite different from Singapore Idol. Learnt that the finalists were the blind guy, wei lian (kevin), and this girl called kelly. The wei lian fans wore blue and the kelly fans wore red. Since I liked the guy better, I wore all blue. Ha. The seating was allocated. So was a little ----- when I found out I was sitting in the red area. Sat quite near the stage so had a good side view.

Just before the show started, a whole lot of VIPs took their seats at the section beside ours. They had this star quality about them...you know...some kind of aura...so it was kind of obvious that they were important. Probably due to their dressing/hair etc. Celest Chong, Zoe Tay, Kym Ng etc haha. When Zoe Tay arrived, a lot of people from my section got up and swarmed to the side to take pictures of her. Just like paparazzi. Haha. Wonder if she was annoyed. Or maybe she's used to it.

Ah...so at 8pm, the show started with a bang! They all trooped in singing the superstar song. Blah blah blah. You know, wei lian's voice is super! Ha. Sounded quite awesome in real life. Can really feel the power. Ok. And the kelly arh... hmmm... she was quite ordinary lah. Looked slightly less pretty than the rest of the girls. Singing was average but she could dance. Wei lian could only stand at one spot and sing. Couldn't move around cos he wouldn't have been able to see where he was going. A lady in black would lead him up the stage and leave him at a spot to sing. Then after the song, he would be led down stage by a dancer. If he was singing a duet with kelly or performing with her, then kelly would lead him around. He moved pretty fast for a blind guy...quite fast with the stairs as well.

JJ also performed on stage. Er...I kinda recognise his face and his songs, but don't really know much about him. Don't really know if that's his name. Hmmmm... Yar well, I suspect he was lip-synching cos even when he moved the mic away from his mouth, there was still a singing voice going on. Hmmm..guess it's kinda hard to dance and sing at the same time. But the dancing was superb. Wanna learn dancing after the As. Heh.

Yep. Throughout the show, the judges kept giving wei lian negative comments and showered kelly with praises. So was quite scared that kelly would win. Actually, no lah not scared. After all, I hadn't been watching the show, but I kinda wanted wei lian to win lah. So... Wei lian won!!! Just like Singapore idol last year. When I was there, thought that sylvester would win. But taufik still won in the end. Think it was all the aunties and uncles who voted for him. Haha. My sis said that all the NKF money went to him. Aiyah but he could sing lah. Much better than that kelly in my opinion.

The jue dui superstar finals was very different from the singapore idol finals. The PA was lousier. I mean... could hear feedback now and then. And during the first kelly song, couldn't hear her sing at all. Think they forgot to turn her mic up. The atmosphere was also more subdued. Probably cos Gurmit singh wasn't there. The MCs did almost nothing to rally the crowd. So was a little sian. Ah well. They also didn't give us a goodie bag this time. Last year, we had inflatable clappers, a light stick and a badge with an idol's face on it. This year, it was just a light stick.
