When I was younger, my very first ambition was to become a vet cos I really liked dogs then. I would read up on them in my free time, so much so that I could name almost every breed I came across on the streets. Then as I grew older, I had less time to read up on dogs, so my interest sort of diminished a little.
Ah. Am thinking of that option right now. Maybe I'll try for veterinary science. Since Singapore doesn't offer the course in any of its universities, if I want to do it, I'll have to go to Aussie since my mum doesn't want me to go anywhere further. Hmm. University applications are so... troublesome. First, have to get admitted into the uni, then have to apply for insurance, visa, accomodation etc. Here's the whole procedure. The visa application is so complicated. Blah. Anyway, I think application starts next year so I'll just wait and see if I do well enough to get into the course. Need at least an ABB.
Read about it...there're only 4 aussie universities offering vet science. Queensland, sydney, melbourne and murdoch. Think sydney's course looks the most interesting. If I go for it, have to study for 5 years I think...
Hey and also found this scholarship by the AVA. For people who want to take veterinary science. Think I wouldn't mind working for them for 6 years lah... hmmm... 6 years sounds like a really long time.... hmmm... haha we'll see...
Whoo...look. We've gone a whole circle. From vet to pharmacist to researcher to dentist and back to vet again. Might have some in between which I can't remember. Ah well. Better than a desk job. :P
