Good Friday and saturday

Ah today's the IRAS deadline. Yesterday was Good Friday. Was interesting. Woke up at 8am, tried to fall asleep for half an hour, got up at 8.30, read newspapers and ate lunch, went out to shop and bought 3 tops, went home to sleep for an hour, then went to jacqueline's house to hang out where she forced me to sing karaoke. She then drove me with her nice blue beetle to the esplanade.

Went for a company dinner at No Signboard seafood restaurant. The managers treated us. There were about 2 tables of 10 people each. Yep... was quite worth it. For us who didn't have to pay ;-) There was this crispy bread roll thing with sesame seeds, kang kong, bbq pork pieces, huge crispy fish, huge gigantic enormous prawns which were fried so crispy their shells could be eaten and chili crab.

When the prawns came, everyone thought it was the crab at first, then on closer inspection, we realised they were prawns. They really resembled crayfish lah. The crabs were humongous as well. I had to help some of my colleagues crack the shells haha. Was so messy lah..or maybe I'm just a messy eater :P

Had mango puree with pamelo and sago for dessert. Was sweet and bitter. Quite good. Maybe I'll make it one day if I'm really bored. But don't exactly know where to get sago.

Ah today's saturday. Woke up at 6.50, went for driving and did crank course, s-shape and directional change. Then took mrt to outram, waited for joanna, went to bugis with her to have lunch. Then we went to the expo for a book fair. Couldn't find the books I wanted. Joanna left at about 1.45 to 2.

I asked Joanna why she had reservations about city harvest, and wasn't surprised that she sounded almost exactly like me 4 months ago. I think that it's hard to explain things, but that you really have to experience it yourself to understand.

Some people think that young people go to city harvest because they like the hip music and the lights. Makes it look a bit like a concert. It's true, some of them might be attracted because of those things, but for the people I know, they don't worship because of the lights and all, but they truly worship God in spirit and in truth.

And since coming to city harvest, I think I'm loving God more than before and I have more hope. It's true, I still slip and fall a little sometimes, but I'm trying to do it less or eliminate those times. Not perfect, but will try.

Yar well, I was at the expo and I had nothing better to do, I went for saturday service at 4.30. Between 2 and 4.30, I stood and chatted with a pretty usher at the foyer and learnt some word power with her.

Oh and met Everlyn there! A senior from the office haha. You know, when I was in the office, I sort of knew that there was someone in the office who was from city harvest. Like this feeling. Or a high possibility lah. Wow. Was so happy when I saw her. It's like family. It is actually :-)

Then I met with the rest and went in. Didn't expect it to be so packed cos there were 4 services instead of the usual 2 and the 2 services each week aren't normally filled to the brim. So was surprised that the place was flooded. But well, it's easter so..yar.

The play was good. Very good. The storyline's the same, but still surprising. Was quite moved when they showed Jesus walking to calvary with the cross. Yar.

Yay my cousin's coming tomorrow with me and 2 friends are going with rachel. Hope it works out. God has His plan. It's always the best. Just have to find out what it is...in due time :-)
